We have an immediate opening for an experienced

 

Mechanical/Structural ENGINEERING MANAGER

 

Required Skills and Qualification

 

·                    A thorough knowledge of the design, fabrication and maintenance of belt conveyors, bulk material handling equipment and conveyor safety accessories;

·                    Experience with structural analysis and concrete foundation design, and a working knowledge of common machine shop and welding techniques;

·                    Able to design from sketches and verbal concepts, along with proficiency with Inventor, Job Shop and AutoCAD software tools;

·                    Mechanical or Structural Engineering degree, and have or be eligible for APEO or other Professional Engineering Association membership.

As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that your staff will…

·                    Organize documentation, including quotes, drawing registers, correspondence, requisitions, drawings, schedules, etc.

·                    Assist the fabricators, machinists, toolmaker and electricians in the debug, integration resolving problems and completion of systems.

·                    Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, force, etc. as related to machine designs.

·                    Analyze engineering drawings, and specifications to determine shape, dimensions, hardness etc. in the development of equipment, processes and products.

·                    Draft working drawings, detail drawings and bills of materials for equipment, sub-assemblies or product, using Inventor, Job Shop and AutoCAD.

·                    Determine tools, fixtures and equipment to be used in fabrication and assembly of mechanical components and complete assemblies.

·                    Select appropriate purchase component for assemblies and create requisitions with appropriate delivery dates.

·                    Analyze designs for compliance to applicable standards, and review drawings for accuracy, material selection, proper machining techniques, finishes, hardness, etc.

·                    Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures, and to all ISO procedures pertaining to the job responsibilities.

 

This is a permanent position, with salary based on experience.
